When they're not swinging together on screen as Spiderman's Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy, Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield are using their paparazzi popularity to promote non-profit organizations, and if they're not walking hand-in-hand at Disneyland, they're raising their dog together. During promotion for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, an interviewer jokingly asked how Garfield made sure his “package” looked okay in the Spidey suit, because inquiring minds needed to know. Garfield’s response as he sat next to his long-term girlfriend was classic: “I had one focus group and that focus group was Emma. She approved.” And Stone chimed in with the perfect Spiderman line, “Because with great power comes great responsibility.”
He "Woke Up" When She Walked in the Room
When Stone came in to audition for Gwen Stacy, Garfield told Teen Vogue that, “It was like I woke up when she came in.” Granted, he means the audition process to find his leading lady for Spiderman, but hey, I’d say it works in relation to the job and real life.
"She's Just Magic"
If you don’t remember, Emma Stone pretty much won Jimmy Fallon’s lip synching segment on the Tonight Show with her amazing rendition of Blues Traveler’s “Hook.” When her boo was on the show weeks later, Garfield had to admit “She’s just magic.”
Emma Loves Him "Very Much"
Not only did Stone say that it was a dream to work with Garfield and that he was one of the greatest actors around today, but she was surprisingly candid about their during an interview on Good Morning America saying, “He’s also just a remarkable human being. I love him very much.” Maybe it’s because the pair used to be so tight-lipped or maybe it’s because celebrities usually don’t talk about love so openly, but I definitely aww-ed at that.
"He's One of the Best"
While filming the first Amazing Spider-Man, Stone was full of compliments for her new co-star. ”He’s one of the best, not just Spider-Men, but actors I’ve ever met,” she said. Of her experience with him she added, “A lot of times you dream about things and they pale in comparison when you actually do them, but it’s better.” That’s obviously why their chemistry reads so well on screen.
She's Like a "Shot of Sunshine"
While he might’ve been joking, when Garfield said, “I will write a book one day about how I feel about every aspect of Emily Stone,” and used the actress’s real name, I’m sure I speak for many when I say that I would love to read that book. He added, “She’s a full genius, or she has found her genius and she’s doing it so beautifully. I think everyone who works with her, everyone who brushes shoulders with her or even makes eye contact with her gets a shot of sunshine.” I can definitely see that from their photos.
