Lizzy Denies She's Dating James Marsden, But Why?

Masters of Sex star Lizzy Caplan denies rumors that she's dating James Marsden for reasons I can't quite fathom because James Marsden is ridiculously hot. The two have been spotted spending a lot of time together lately, but Caplan told People last Sunday that her Bachelorette cast mate is "just one of my best friends". Caplan, also known as Janis Ian in Mean Girls , says that even if she and Marsden were dating, "I wouldn't tell you anyway!" This situation is just beyond comprehension. He's hot, she's hot, why are these two not going all Masters of Sex on each other? It's a crime against humanity. YOU CAN'T SIT WITH US!

It is, of course, entirely possible that Marsden and Caplan are going all Masters Of Sex on each other. Caplan didn't specify whether or not she'd be bringing a date to Monday evening's Emmy Awards, but if she did, it would probably be Marsden, because isn't that what ridiculously hot friends are for? Caplan, a first-time Emmy nominee, told People, "I have a lot of friends coming to hang out. There will be food. And they will be drinking[...] It's awesome. The fact my friends want to come hang is really nice." It seems I'll have to shelve my dreams of Caplan-Marsden babies, at least for now. Also, Caplan sounds like she's really popular and has a lot of friends.
