Lindsay's Bio on Her New Website Is a Must-Read

by Rachel Simon

Lindsay Lohan is serious about making a comeback, and she wants everyone to know it. After spending the summer starring in surprisingly-decent movies, impressively hosting talk shows, and booking guest roles on critically acclaimed shows, the next step in the actress's how-to-revive-a-career handbook is, apparently, re-launching a website. On Wednesday, August 15, Lohan revived LindsayLohan.com with new photos, videos, and more, all of which, of course, show the actress as fun, happy, and extremely untroubled.

With frequent throwbacks to the high points of Lohan's career, from a shout-out to Mean Girls to a video of her poised April interview with David Letterman, the website's purpose couldn't be more transparent — she wants a comeback, and she's dead set on making it happen. In a homepage message to her fans, she writes, "your support has been everything. I’m so excited for what’s next," and in a lengthy bio, she's described as "one of the most-loved and most-talked about Hollywood stars of our time." Ummm ... "most-loved"?

The bio is worth a read just to see how impressively her downward spiral is spun into career triumphs. Her middling foray into the fashion world, for example, apparently makes her "easily a quadruple threat," and her hard-partying ways become an ability to "keep the public on its toes, guessing, and intrigued." In case readers missed the point of all that effort, the bio ends with this: "poised for an epic return to the spotlight, undoubtedly all eyes will be locked on Lindsay."

That's quite a promise, but judging from Lohan's solid past few months, it's actually a possibility. If she continues looking healthy and sounding humble, there's a decent chance she'll be back in our good graces before long. Sure, the new website may be a bit in-your-face with its "LINDSAY LOHAN IS MAKING A COMEBACK OR ELSE" message, but you can't blame her for wanting to make sure that we know she's serious about returning to the spotlight. If anything else, the website gives us an excuse to re-watch the music video for "Rumors," which is the best "being a celebrity is hard, guys" song since Britney Spears sung about a girl named "Lucky."
