Olivia Palermo's Aquazzura Line Is Shoe Art

Socialite and The City star Olivia Palermo has extended her 15 minutes of reality TV fame in much the same way that Lauren Conrad has: through smart fashion partnerships and impeccable style. The reality star is known for her well-edited, New York City-influenced sense of style; it's finely-tuned, classic, sexy, and utterly luxe. Thankfully, Palermo's collaboration with shoe designer Aquazzura is finally here. It's sexy, it's essentially shoe art, and it's everything you hoped, wished, prayed, and dreamed it would be. You will look at each pair of Olivia Palermo x Aquazzura shoes, available Net-a-Porter, and shriek, "Well, hello, lover!"

The Italian shoes are pricy, because they are so luxe and carefully crafted. Aquazzura is known for single-soled heels, which means they are daintier and enhance the curve of the calf with any platform. They're made from premium materials, like soft leather and cashmere suede.

They are gorgeous enough to make fashion's most iconic fictional fashionable character — that'd be Carrie Bradshaw of Sex and the City — lose her damn mind, do the happy dance, and banish even Christian Louboutin and Manolo Blahnik from her closet. OK, maybe that's a tad extreme and she really wouldn't go that far, but our fave shoe maven would certainly make room in her walk-in for the Palermo x Aquazzura range.

As for Palermo x Aquazzura, here are the essential stats: There are over two dozen pairs in the collection, although some are the same style crafted with different colors or materials. Unless you have unlimited disposable income, however, you aren't going to be able to afford to snatch up every pair. The most expensive pair has a $1625 price tag, but for the most part, the heels, booties, and boots fall in the $700 to $800 or so range. So if you owe yourself a treat, these are definitely splurge-worthy shoes. The problem will be deciding which pair to own, since they're all pretty "must-have" and are stunning enough to make you forget how painful heels can be.

The most important constant in the collection is the sexy, strappy, and make-you-taller stiletto-ness. There are also lots of tiny, tied bows in the range. Some are Net-a-Porter online exclusives, as well.

Get ready to drool.

1. Blingy Beauty

Dripping with crystals and chains, these embellished suede heels are fierce and totally appropriate for a cocktail party, wedding, or whenever you want to strut yourself as a badass femme fatale. Palermo was inspired by a vintage Victorian necklace in her personal collection when designing this pair. That's the best kind of recycled fashion.

Here's the back view. Stunning, aren't they? These are an online exclusive for Net-a-Porter, too. ($1625, net-a-porter.com)

2. Fall-Ready Suede Ankle Boots

These suede ankle boots cruise into your consciousness just in time for fall. Tuck a pair of skinnies or sweater leggings into these olive, cashmere suede slabs of perfection or team with a short and twirly leather skirt. They also come in black. Olivia Palermo x Aquazzura for the win! ($810, net-a-porter.com)

3. Glamazon Gladiator

Bring out your inner gladiator with the Amazon Lace-Up strappies and their animal skin texture. They look super uncomfortable, but that back zipper and those ankle-to-toe ties look seductive and they keep foot securely in place. Ahh! No friction here. Of all the pairs, these are my absolute faves.

I want to wear them with a pencil skirt, stat. ($795, net-a-porter.com)

4. Ankle Strap Flats

In a collection full of major heels, these flats are also to-die-for. The Belgravia pointy toe flats are like turnt up ballet slippers, thanks to the ties. How about wearing with a pair of shorts, a frilly, top, and a blazer to add another girlish touch to a carefully constructed work ensemble? Yes. ($795, net-a-porter.com)

5. Studded And Fringed

This is shoe art of the highest order. These studded and fringed sandals are embellished and have a bit of a Southwest vibe to them, thanks to the color and the fringe. There's a hint of cowgirl chic but the cutouts and the height of the heel are supremely Fifth Avenue. I love the mix of materials. ($945, net-a-porter.com)

6. Blue Suede Shoes

Is this what Elvis Presley meant when he crooned about "Blue Suede Shoes?" Because these babies deserve their own song. The bold, electric blue color and strappy, cut-out silhouette of the Sexy Thing Cut-Out Suede Sandals are artistic and fun, without scrimping on sex appeal. You must wear these heels when the rest of your outfit is simple, like with an LBD. ($565, net-a-porter.com)
