This Guy Could Change Bieber's Life

If President Bill Clinton didn't get through to Justin Bieber, hopefully Leif Garrett can do the trick. The '70s pop icon fancies himself an expert on the subject of being a teen sex symbol, and recently offered his advice to the Biebs, who, last we checked, was too busy hanging out with Jay-Z to hear what the likes of Leif had to say.

But just what did Leif have to share with the 19-year-old pop star? He told Fox 411:

Do not believe your own publicity. Sussing out who your real friends are is full-time work. Every scum bag, every drug dealer, every chicken hawk wants a piece of you.

Sage advice, considering just this week Bieber's been targeted by cops. According to reports, his luggage was sniffed by drug dogs at the Fort Lauderdale airport because they got an anonymous tip he and his entourage were carrying drugs. As it turned out, nothing illegal was found.

Leif also expanded on the reason for his own, personal downward spiral (in 2011, the actor/singer even went on Celebrity Rehab to try and get clean) and it's something Bieber might wanna take note of:

The hardest thing was the music I was doing. I had no control of the music. They wanted me to continue doing teen idol stuff. I’m really into music and a new wave was happening. The average lifespan of a teen idol is five years. You have to change musically. Bubble gum pop was good for the first time you have sex. They didn’t want to give the OK on some really good music. It was the frustration of being signed to that label. I was depressed. My heroes and A&R guys on the bus were doing drugs so I was doing drugs.

That sounds oddly familiar, now doesn't it? Bieber burst onto the scene in 2010 with his song "Baby" off his My World 2.0 album, and by Leif's math, Bieber's got about two more years, tops, in the biz. And guys, Bieber's already showing signs that he may not be in the best place. Between the public urination, the partying at clubs, and the fact that he got his mom's eyeball tattooed in his elbow crease, boy is slowly losing it. Twenty-four more months in the spotlight might just do him in.

Now that both Mark Wahlberg and Leif Garrett have given Bieber unsolicited advice, we can't wait to hear who steps up to the plate next. Celebs always give Bieber advice in threes, right?
