11 Things We Need From an 'NSYNC Reunion

by Kate Ward

Who's going to be having a great night Sunday? It's gonna be all of us. Because, if Page Six's sources are correct, 'NSYNC will reunite during the Video Music Awards airing Sunday on MTV.

If reports are true, the group will come together for the first time in nine years — 'NSYNC hasn't performed as a group since 2004's "Annual Challenge for the Children." But even charity couldn't convince the group to reunite again, as Justin Timberlake skyrocketed to fame, selling hit records, starring in Oscar-nominated movies, and dating A-list stars who also abandoned their pasts.

Still, despite most members of the group's insistence that a reunion isn't in 'NSYNC's future, we could see Timberlake — who is already slated to perform at the VMAs — regroup with Lance Bass, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, and Joey Fatone come Sunday night. After all, the latter said just last year that, "You never know. There might be a time where it's just like, 'Hey, let's get together and have some fun.'"

So are they ready to have some fun? Dear god, we hope so. And here's hoping that fun also involves giving us these 11 things during their reported reunion performance. We need these, 'NSYNC, like Lance Bass needs a flatiron.

Justin Timberlake's Ramen Hair

Of course. As Bustle's own Tanya Ghahremani noted, the dude needs to at least wear a wig, "for realism's sake."

JC Chasez Taking His Rightful Title as 'NSYNC's Dreamiest Member

Sorry, Justin — you have nothing on this smile. God definitely spent more time on JC Chasez.

So dreamy.

This Move

Incredible bizarre sky dancer-inspired choreography from "I Want You Back" — we need you back.

Absolutely No "God Must Have Spent a Little More Time on You" or "I Drive Myself Crazy"

The slowed-down hits are definitely the Chris Kirkpatrick to Justin Timberlake's "Bye Bye Bye" "It's Gonna Be Me," and "Tearin' Up My Heart." We want a medley, for sure, but leave these behind like a man in highlighted dreadlocks. Bye bye bye, indeed.

A Live Reading of On the Line

Complete with Al Green, Timberlake's incredibly homophobic post-credits scene, and, of course, Fatone as a man who accidentally injures women during sex. With How Did This Get Made ? 's Paul Scheer playing the role of Emmanuelle Chriqui's Abbey, please.

Chris Kirkpatrick's Braces

There was a beautiful time in the late '90s that the music industry rallied around a man who loved only primary colors, goggles he never wore on his eyes, highlighted dreadlocks, and a straight, beautiful smile. Which is why he wore braces. And continued to live life as a pop star. So, why exactly are we more impressed with Timberlake?

A Backstreet Brawl

It's time, almost 20 years later, to at last settle every junior high argument. So, please, let the 'NSYNC reunion devolve into a rumble between the pop band, Backstreet Boys, and 98 Degrees, whose muscles will give them a leg up until 2gether throws a banana peel into the brawl, and everyone stops, shakes hands, and laughs, laughs, laughs at O-Town.

Turtlenecks

Because if we can't hug them tight around their necks, something has to.

The Return of Wade Robson

The choreographer is an MVP — not only is he responsible for some of the best pop videos of the early 2000s (Britney Spears' "I'm a Slave 4 U," among them), but he also choreographed an entire No Strings Attached tour for 'NSYNC. Plus, if you look carefully, you'll see Robson playing Joey Fatone in 'NSYNC's "Pop" video after the singer suffered an injury:

And, Of Course, Pizza

And, for nostalgia's sake during this 'NSYNC reunion performance, let's make that a stuffed crust pizza.
