Charlie Hunnam as Christian Grey?

Sadly, it appears Universal is still moving forward with their plans to turn E.L. James' godawful Twilight fan-fiction, 50 Shades of Grey, into a feature film. But this ... this is just worse than I ever could've imagined. According to Twitch, Universal is seriously considering Sons of Anarchy and Pacific Rim star Charlie Hunnam for the role of Christian Grey, the abusive/controlling billionaire — or in their words, "handsome, yet tormented billionaire."

I resigned myself a long time ago to the fact that this movie was going to be happening and have just been holding on to the hope that a good, established actress like Felicity Jones wouldn't be stepping into Anastasia Steele's shoes, and that someone like Hunnam would be smart enough to turn down the "sexy" role, as well — but hope, really, is all I have anymore.

Thankfully, these reports aren't confirmed, which offers some shred of faith that they'll turn out to be wrong and we can all move on with our lives watching the next season of Sons of Anarchy in peace.

Personal message to Charlie Hunnam, though: Please, no matter how much money producers are offering you, do not do this film. Sons of Anarchy and working with Guillermo Del Toro are great things to have on an IMDb profile, but 50 Shades of Grey isn't edgy cinema.

Ugh. I am so sad.
