Come On, Kate, Give This Man a Granddaughter

by Nicole Fabian-Weber

Be honest: What would you rather see Kate Middleton have? Another adorable bouncing baby boy? Or a precious little princess? Sure, having another boy would be easiest on the royal couple, being that they already have all the things one could possibly need for a son, but it would be kind of amazing to see the duke and duchess with a daughter this go 'round. It feels a little wrong saying that, because it isn't necessarily "cool" to say you have a gender preference, but it's the truth. And Prince Charles agrees. He really hopes Wills will have a daughter. God bless the man for saying what pretty much everybody is thinking.

While attending an event for his charity, the Prince's Trust, on Tuesday, Prince Charles reportedly told a well-wisher that he was hoping for a granddaughter this time around. According to People, the prince said, "I'm happy I'm going to be a grandfather again. I'm looking forward to it — but I hope it will be a girl this time" when someone at the event congratulated him.

Like I said, it typically isn't kosher for people to say they're hoping for one gender more than the other — particularly when you're the grandparent-to-be — but hey, when you're Prince Charles, guess you can pretty much say and do whatever you want.
