She Was Finally (Sort of) Photographed with Chris

by Aly Semigran

For those of you who have been chomping at the bit to get the first glimpse of Hollywood's most buzzed-about couple Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin prepare to be... wildly disappointed. On Friday, Lawrence attended the iHeart Music Festival in Las Vegas where her rumored beau Martin's band Coldplay was performing. But if you were hoping to see a picture of the Oscar-winning actress looking dreamy-eyed from the side of the stage or the rocker stealing a kiss before stepping off the tour bus, don't hold your breath.

The first documented photo of Lawrence and Martin together is hardly together. In fact, the shot is basically just the couple standing near each other, walking and looking in totally opposite directions backstage at the event. Yeah, so, not exactly the kind of photograph that would make the paparazzi an obscene amount of money or wordlessly confirm their blossoming romance.

Us Weekly, who spoke with a source who claims the Mockingjay star, "Put her hand on her heart when they announced Coldplay" at the concert, also tweeted out the picture in question with the caption, "J.Law and Chris Martin were photographed together backstage at the iHeartRadio Music Festival." Well, "together" is arguable.

Again, don't get your hopes up, this is about as thrilling as seeing the pair shopping in separate aisles at the grocery store, but still, there they are!

Hey, at the very least we can all say that J. Law is looking incredible as ever these days.

But seriously, has there ever been more bummer-ific photo of a hot new couple? It's pretty melancholy, actually... just like a Coldplay song! Well, there you have it. If you look at this photo while listening to Coldplay songs, it's actually kind of fitting. I suggest the Coldplay classic "In My Place" as the soundtrack for the picture, considering it looks like the pensive Martin is glancing past the stoic, beautiful Lawrence wondering if she is literally standing in his place backstage.

Kinda perfect, no?
