Ugly Shoes From Spring 2015 Runways, Ranked From Slightly Horrifying To Downright Heinous

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but from the looks of it, ugly shoes won't be going out of style any time soon. I've been trying to get this trend to die for quite awhile now, but unfortunately the Powers That Be of the fashion world are still infatuated with hideous footwear. And I'm not talking mere Birkenstocks and Tevas. Those orthopedic nightmares are child's play compared to the monstrosities we've seen strolling down the runways in New York, London, and Milan. Paris Fashion Week just began and, to my dismay, I'm certain it will be more of the same.

In a continued protest against the existence of such shoes, I've rounded up the worst of the worst from Fashion Month thus far and ranked them in order of least to most offensive. Click at your own risk.

Victoria Beckham

I’m going to cut Posh Spice some slack here because she’s normally impeccable and this is her first foray into footwear. But really? These look like something Matthew McConaughey would wear in a film where he plays a gay cowboy.

Sophia Webster

Another bizarre interpretation of the lace up sandal, although it isn’t so out of place in Webster’s rave-themed collection.

Ports 1961

These are like the ’90s platforms you probably wanted in middle school, only done in white leather and more expensive than six pairs of Steve Madden shoes combined.

Marni

Designers, let’s stop with the platform sneaker sandal. No one can make this look work.

These shoes look they are strangling the model’s ankles.

Sorry, that’s a bath mat, not a sandal. Try again next season.
