'NSYNC Isn't the Only Group Reuniting at the VMAs

by Alanna Bennett

Sorry folks — so far the VMA pre-show has shown no sign of 'NSYNC. We're sure they'll make their appearance, but in the meantime, the musical group gods have granted you another gift: P. Diddy's Making the Band girl group Danity Kane has reunited.

The group announced their reunion on the red carpet pre-show to the VMAs, as well as with a pre-pre-show tweet by brand member Aubrey O'Day (embedded below).

The band originally came together in 2004 during the third season of Making the Band, which centered on Diddy's search for the next female "supergroup." And form they did, with some bumps in the road, until their breakup in 2009.

The band itself seems pretty psyched to pick up bigger and better than ever, though, as they've been tweeting about the reunion nonstop. It is notable, however, that the band isn't all back together: Danity Kane is missing fifth band member D. Woods, who confirmed that she wouldn't be making the reunion rounds with her former girl group sisters.

So are we looking forward to this reunion? Has the girl group scene been aching with missing these ladies? I guess we'll find out more when they release their first new music, but until then, it's lovely to see their faces — and tweets — again.
