Where Is the 'Harry Potter' Cast Now?

Ever since the last film in the 'Harry Potter' series hit theaters in 2011, we've been mourning the loss of our favorite wizard and his friends. We've bought all the movies, re-read the books, and drank enough butterbeer to kill a small horse, but we still can't stop missing 'Harry Potter.' To soothe our wounds, let's take a look at what the actors from our beloved franchise are up to now, starting with the star of June 14's 'The Bling Ring,' Emma Watson. [Image: Warner Bros.]

So, You Starred in 'Harry Potter.' Now What?

Ever since the last film in the 'Harry Potter' series hit theaters in 2011, we've been mourning the loss of our favorite wizard and his friends. We've bought all the movies, re-read the books, and drank enough butterbeer to kill a small horse, but we still can't stop missing 'Harry Potter.' To soothe our wounds, let's take a look at what the actors from our beloved franchise are up to now, starting with the star of June 14's 'The Bling Ring,' Emma Watson. [Image: Warner Bros.]

Emma Watson (Hermione Granger)

Watson, arguably the most successful of the main 'Potter' trio, has quickly made waves with her critically acclaimed performances in films like 'My Week with Marilyn' and 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower.' This week alone, she has supporting roles in two movies: Sofia Coppola's 'The Bling Ring' and Seth Rogen's 'This is the End.' To throw typecasting even further out the window, Watson will play opposite Russell Crowe in Darren Aronofsky's 'Noah,' about some dude with an ark. Count us on board. (Ha.) All this, while also completing semesters at Brown, NYU, and Oxford. Overachiever, much? Hermione would be proud.

Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter)

The world's most famous boy wizard is now a veteran of film, TV, and stage, thanks to a non-stop schedule that's included a tour on Broadway and a hosting gig on 'Saturday Night Live.' Since leaving 'Potter,' Radcliffe has starred in the high-grossing horror film 'The Woman in Black,' the upcoming 'Kill Your Darlings,' and he has four movies in the works, as well as the American release of a British mini-series costarring Jon Hamm. He's done theater in both New York and London, and apparently, even found the time to star in a music video for the band Slow Club. Youtube it.

Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley)

Compared to his fellow lead actors, Grint may seem to have taken it easy after leaving 'Potter,' but a quick IMDB search tells a different story. Grint has only had two major roles, 2012's 'Into the White' and the upcoming 'The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman,' but he has five films in the works. In February, The Hollywood Reporter announced that Grint would star in a CBS show called 'Super Clyde.' Said THR: "Grint will play the title role of Clyde, the well-meaning and sweet yet slightly neurotic guy who never feels like he really fits in." Sounds a little like a certain red-haired wizard we know.

Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy)

Like his former enemies, Felton has kept a busy schedule since graduating Hogwarts. He starred alongside James Franco in 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes,' and has had parts in several other films. Next up is 'Belle,' a period drama also starring, wait, for it, Emily Watson, and TNT's 'Murder In The First,' alongside Taye Diggs.

Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom)

The Boy Who Defied Puberty has found steady work in the theater, performing in a tour of Agatha Christie's 'Verdict' and on the West End in 'Our Boys.' He also starred in the little-seen 'Wasteland' and a miniseries called 'The Syndicate.' Next up is a role in the UK film 'The Sweet Shop.'

Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood)

It's hard to imagine Lynch, who embodied Luna Lovegood so ridiculously well, doing anything else, but it appears she's moved on from the 'Potter' world — mostly. In between starring in teen comedy 'G.B.F.' and taking modeling jobs, Lynch reprised her most famous role for March's 'A Very Potter Senior Year.' Currently, she's filming 'Monster Butler,' a thriller led by none other than her former costar Gary Oldman.

Michael Gambon (Albus Dumbledore)

Gambon took over the role of headmaster Albus Dumbledore in 2004 after the death of Richard Harris. Post-'Potter,' he worked with Dustin Hoffman on the now-canceled TV show 'Luck' and Hoffman's directorial debut, 'Quartet.' He's a fan of the TV movie, having starred in two with one in the works, and has had success in London theater. [Image: Deadline]

Alan Rickman (Severus Snape)

Like many of his 'Potter' colleagues, Rickman worked in theater upon leaving the franchise, headlining the Broadway play 'Seminar' in 2011. Last year, he starred alongside Colin Firth, Stanley Tucci, and Cameron Diaz in 'Gambit,' a Coen Brothers film yet to be released in the U.S. He has roles in several upcoming films, including a turn as Ronald Reagan in Lee Daniels' historical drama 'The Butler.'

Maggie Smith (Minerva McGonagall)

Smith's already remarkable career became even more distinguished when she took the role of Violet Crawley on PBS' beloved "Downton Abbey." As Dowager Countess of Grantham, Smith has won two Emmys and a Golden Globe. She also won raves for her turn as a lovable grump in 2011's 'The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel' and a lead role in 'Quartet.' Next up is 'My Old Lady,' a 2014 drama co-starring Kevin Kline.

Ralph Fiennes (Voldemort)

He Who Must Not Be Named has continued adding to his mile-long resume post-'Potter,' with memorable roles in films such as 'Skyfall' and 'Wrath of the Titans.' He has six films in the works, and it's been announced that he will replace Judi Dench as M in future Bond films. All this without a nose... impressive.

Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid)

After leaving 'Potter,' Coltrane moved on to voice work, voicing characters in 'Arthur Christmas,' 'The Gruffalo's Child,' and 'Brave.' He made frequent appearances in the U.K. comedy show 'The Comic Strip Presents...,' and will next be seen opposite Dakota Fanning in this year's "Effie."

Bonnie Wright, James Phelps, and Oliver Phelps (Ginny, Fred and George Weasley)

The Weasley siblings (Sorry, Bill/Charlie/Percy — no one cares), have all struggled to make it in acting, but Wright has had the most success so far. She has several movies in the works, a modeling contract, and a burgeoning career as a director/writer/producer. As for the twins, they've fared less well, with only two films post-'Potter' and one in the works. [Image: Warner Bros.]

Richard Griffiths, Fiona Shaw, and Harry Melling (Vernon, Petunia, and Dudley Dursley)

Griffiths, who played Dursley patriarch Vernon, died of a heart attack earlier this year. Shaw had a stint on 'True Blood' and appeared on Broadway. Melling has found some acting work, but apparently losing the weight he gained for the role of Dudley hasn't helped him have a successful acting career. [Image: Warner Bros.]

Julie Walters and Mark Williams (Molly and Arthur Weasley)

Walters has done several voice roles and will next join Robbie Coltrane in 'Effie.' Williams has found success on TV, including a short stint on 'Doctor Who.' [Image: Warner Bros.]

David Thewlis and Natalia Tena (Remus Lupin and Nymphodora Tonks)

Thewlis has several films in the works, including 'Red 2' with Bruce Willis. Tena has found fame among TV geeks with a recurring role on 'Game of Thrones' as Osha, the Wildling currently hanging out with Bran and his little brother. [Image: Warner Bros.]

And the rest...

The 'Potter' cast was filled with already-famous British actors, from Emma Thompson (Professor Trelawney) to Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange) to Gary Oldman (Sirius Black). Thompson has had several high-profile film roles, and Bonham Carter and Oldman were both nominated for Oscars in the past few years. 'Potter' supporting star Robert Pattinson (Cedric Diggory) has become, well, Robert Pattinson, and Warwick Davis (Professor Flitwick/Griphook) stars in BBC/HBO show 'Life's Too Short.' Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy) starred in the now-cancelled NBC series 'Awake,' Luke Youngblood (Lee Jordan) has a recurring role on 'Community,' and Jessie Cave (Lavender Brown) acted in 'Great Expectations.' Jamie Waylett (Vincent Crabbe) got arrested for growing pot. So there you have it — the 'Harry Potter' cast, two years later. [Image: Warner Bros.]
