Tina and Amy Approached For Globes? — REPORT

by Christine DiStasio

After pulling in 20 million viewers during last year's telecast, NBC has finally found the winning formula for a great awards' show: funny girls Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. And the network is reportedly eager to revive the formula again.

NBC and the Globes' producer, Dick Clark Productions (DCP), have reportedly asked the two comediennes to return as emcees for 2014's ceremony. After the success of last year's telecast, it was reported that the duo only agreed to host under the condition that there was no obligation for them to return the following year. And while Deadline reports that the two haven't received a formal or informal offer, NBC may be attempting to gauge the comediennes' interest in returning. Also, according to Deadline, NBC and DCP are expected to enter into more serious conversations with the former 30 Rock and current Parks and Recreation stars as early as next month with the hopes of securing an official host by the end of November.

Both Fey and Poehler are heading into the new fall season with full plates — Fey will be filming the big-screen adaptation of This Is Where I Leave You and Poehler is hard at work with the fan favorite Parks and Recreation. Last year, the news of their appointment as hosts was announced in mid-October, so we'll start the countdown now.
