What Could a Beiber-Lagerfeld Collab Look Like?

Ready for the most confusing fashion news you'll hear all day? Even more perplexing than the idea of Cara Delevingne and Kim Kardashian working together? Justin Bieber and Karl Lagerfeld are teaming up on... something. We don't really know what it is yet. But it's likely to include a shirtless Bieber, as MTV's Maeve Keirans points out, sooooo there's that.

Here's the deal. The ab-tastic pop star and the legendary designer have been palling around quite a bit lately, as evidenced by the cute selfie of the two of them at Carine Roitfeld's CR Fashion Book party earlier this week. If you're surprised that eternal fashion snob Lagerfeld is giving Bieber the time of day, well, I'm right there with you. However, Selena "most elegant princess in the world" Gomez can't seem to stop hanging out with him either so apparently there's something irresistible about The Biebs that some of us are missing.

Something so irresistible, in fact, that Lagerfeld is participating in some sort of project with him. According to Fashionista, Bieber posted an Instagram collage with this caption: "Big things coming with my friend Karl Lagerfeld." Some of the images in the collage feature the pop star posing (shirtless, obvs), implying that a photo project could be in the works and thus dashing my hopes that this collab will result in a Chanel house arrest ankle bracelet for Bieber's next run-in with the law.
