Get Ready to Salivate Over NARS Holiday 2014

by Erin Mayer

Although we're still weeks away from Halloween, brands want you to start thinking about your Christmas shopping list! That's right — it's holiday collection time, folks. Since I start getting excited about Christmas season in, oh, July, I'm totally okay with this. Especially if it means getting my hands on the NARS 2014 Holiday Collection as soon as possible.

NARS always delivers on the special holiday collection front. Last year's was a collaboration with the artist Guy Bourdin and I'm still 100% obsessed with the Edie Sedgewick film reel and makeup set from the Andy Warhol collection that I got for Christmas in 2012. So, what does François Nars have up his sleeve for this holiday season? A collection called Cutting Edge Color with packaging inspired by architectural designer Chris Kabatsi’s Nebula print.

The new offerings will be available online and in NARS boutiques beginning October 15th and will include eyeshadow palettes, nail polish shades, tubes of lipstick, lipgloss, and, of course, gift sets. According to a press release, "the intricate web of black gloss [inspired by Nebula] grips the signature soft-touch packaging in a modern take on lace." The colors are all rich and many feature a hint of much-desired holiday sparkle. Perfect for all those Christmas-themed parties you'll be invited to once Thanksgiving is over!

Here's a small sampling of the outstanding collection.
