So, There's Still That 'Grey's Anatomy' Beef

by Caitlyn Callegari

Oh, boy. I thought this week couldn't get any worse in terms of uncomfortable celebrity encounters after the whole Jessica Lange spurning Lea Michele on the American Horror Story red carpet thing, but I was wrong. So wrong (Sorry, Lea. I love you). Except, I suppose, that unlike Lange's rejection, this instance of celebrity haterade sipping is actually warranted. I think it's almost common knowledge now that Katherine Heigl has an unflattering reputation in Hollywood for being, well, mean, but apparently her diva tendencies were enough to change Shonda Rhimes' whole entire business model, as explained in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

While I'm a firm supporter of being kind to people no matter who they are, I have to be real with Heigl for a second here. If you were going to be unpleasant to anyone, why would you ever be that way to such a prolific show runner? Don't you like to be employed? Rhimes is EVERYWHERE! E! Online references The Hollywood Reporter' s interview with Rhimes, saying,

"Speaking about running a tight ship on the Scandal set, Rhimes told the trade of her "no a--holes" policy, "There are no Heigls in this situation...I don't put up with bulls--t or nasty people. I don't have time for it."

My thoughts on that? Good for you, Shonda. Because why would someone as successful as she is have to deal with an ungrateful and detrimental employee? It's also comforting to know that Scandal is full of kind actors who deserve the success they've found, because as Rhimes new rules go, if they're not, they're squashed.
