These Two Are Officially Official

by Quinn Keaney

The pint-size couple made up of pop diva Ariana Grande and rapper Big Sean has finally been made officially official. Ariana Grande confirmed her relationship with Big Sean in an interview with The Telegraph. When the publication asked the "Bang Bang" singer, 21, whether or not she was definitely in a relationship with 26-year-old Big Sean, she said "yes," which at last puts an end to the not-so-speculative speculation of whether or not these two are together. Rejoice, world! We can all now look forward to a lifetime filled with duet after duet from these two. That is, if this isn't just a rebound relationship for both of them.

While they definitely have their short stature in common, both Grande and her "Beware" beau have both gotten out of serious relationships relatively recently. Big Sean had a highly publicized break-up from fiancé actress Naya Rivera, and Grande split from longtime boyfriend Jai Brooks over the summer. According to a source who spilled to Us Weekly, "It's gone from 0 to 60 fast," because of their off-the-charts chemistry. Not only that, but the insider also said that "[It's] gotten serious very fast. They are much happier than in their previous relationships."

Despite the fact that they are both ripe for a rebound, what Grande told the Telegraph when speaking about Big Sean makes it seem like their relationship is actually legit:

He is one of the most amazing men in the whole world, and that includes my grandfather and my brother. I think the world of him, and he's an amazing person. That's kind of all there is to it.

I guess these two crazy kids (EXTRA crazy in Grande's case) are the real deal. In case you disagree, here are a few reasons why they make sense:

1. Big Sean definitely has a type & Grande seems to fit the bill

By "type," I mean "gigantic, scandal-causing diva." His relationship with Rivera was wrought with drama, and even before she met him the Glee actress was stirring stuff up with her co-stars. His new gal-pal is raising even more eyebrows with an endless stream of people coming forward to complain about how rude and obnoxious the "Break Free" singer can be. Rebound or no rebound, maybe Big Sean actually enjoys Grande's, ahem, colorful behavior?

2. Their musical collabs are pretty awesome

They've made sweet, sweet music together on her songs "Right There" and "Best Mistake," and there's no denying the tracks are catchy. If the only good thing that comes out of these two being together are more hit songs, you won't hear me complaining. (I'll be too busy SINGING, duh.)

3. They've been friends for a while, so they might just have what it takes to make it last

In September, Big Sean told MTV News that they'd "been friends for years before anything else," and Grande has echoed that in her own interviews. If their love connection is rooted in a good friendship, they probably knew exactly what they were getting into when they took it to the next level.

Only time will tell if they'll be able to keep it together, but as of right now, "Bariana" (yes? no?) is going strong.
