Mischa Barton Still Trying So Hard to Be in Movies

I'll cut right to the chase: Mischa Barton is going to star in a zombie movie. She is clearly still searching for that one project that'll turn her into the film actress she so badly wants to be after leaving The O.C. in 2006, so she's probably hoping that starring in a film about a zombie attack will allow her to ride on the coattails of The Walking Dead's success and launch from D-list to A-list.

Sadly, this will probably not happen, because the film is called Zombie Killers: Elephant's Graveyard, and it co-stars Billy Zane who in recent years has gone from appearing in Academy Award-winning films, to shooting cameos in Avril Lavigne music videos.

Barton explained the movie's plot synopsis in a new interview with HuffPost Live, totally going into detail:

It's with Billy Zane and it's a zombie, post-apocalyptic movie about fracking, the effects of fracking on if we lived in a post-apocalyptic world where there were zombies created through, like, um, something in the fracking sites ... I really liked the script because it's just interesting, it was just like nothing I've ever read, and, yeah, looking forward to it.

Do you have any idea what this movie is about? Because I have no idea what this movie is about. Something in the fracking sites could be anything, Mischa Barton!

Going on IMDB doesn't help much either, because here's what the entry for Zombie Killers: Elephant's Graveyard says: "A young group of militia soldiers are all that stands between a coming dead horde and their rural town." Have they ever seen a zombie movie? That's not how this works. If an undead horde wants to invade a town for tasty brains, they're going to invade that town, young group of militia soldiers or not.

I already hate this movie.
