The 'Web Therapy' Season 4 Guest Stars Aren't Exactly Strangers — They're All Connected
Showtime can always count on Lisa Kudrow's show, Web Therapy, to have amazing guest stars. Every year, they manage to top themselves, and this year, with ten episodes, there's plenty of time for them to cram in all of the recurring characters like Rashida Jones, Lily Tomlin and Victor Garber and have six new clients for Fiona to "treat."
Lisa Kudrow has worked with so many people, and has so many TV shows that all she has to do is call in a favor and she can get three Oscar nominees on the show. But those connections don't just stop there. In fact, if you take nine of the new Season 4 guest stars, you can actually connect all of their resumes, Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon style. Seriously, check it out.

Lisa Kudrow to Matthew Perry
Of course two Friends costars are willing to another a favor, so Perry made the time to play one of Fiona’s patients. They’re also the most obvious connection… things will get much less easy from here.
Matthew Perry to Allison Janney
Perry guest starred on The West Wing, where Janney played CJ Cregg.
Allison Janney to Christina Applegate
Both Janney and Applegate did guest voices on King of the Hill. Over 13 seasons, KotH managed to fit in almost as many guest stars as Web Therapy.

Christina Applegate to Dax Shepard
Shepard and Applegate, both NBC employees (due to Parenthood and Up All Night), were both begged, pleaded with, and probably contractually obligated to appear in Hollywood Game Night .
Dax Shepard to Lauren Graham
Duh, these two play siblings in the Braverman family on Parenthood. They’ve collectively been responsible for causing more teary-eyed moments than every real-life college graduation, wedding, or inspirational speech could ever hope to achieve.

Guess who had a very short cameo on Graham’s series Gilmore Girls? The future Don Draper.

Jon Hamm to Calista Flockhart
Okay, so I guess before being discovered by Matt Weiner, Jon Hamm did a one-episode tour of every popular show on TV in the late 90s through early 2000s, because he had a guest stint on Calista Flockhart’s Ally McBeal.
Calista Flockhart to Gwyneth Paltrow
This is where it gets tricky. Gwyneth doesn’t usually mix with TV folk. She’s a born-and-bred movie star, who doesn’t have episodes of Charles in Charge cluttering her resume. But she does come off of her film pedestal every once in a while to host Saturday Night Live, as has Flockhart. Is it fair to count hosting a sketch comedy show for one week in this game? Probably not, but I’m doing it anyway.
Gwyneth Paltrow to Craig Ferguson
These two were both in High , a failed TV movie from 1989 directed by Paltrow’s father, Bruce. There’s almost no evidence that the show ever existed, but never underestimate the memory of the internet.
Craig Ferguson Back to Lisa Kudrow
Kudrow and Ferguson both did recurring voices on the terrible TV version of the Hercules cartoon. There you have it. All of the new guest stars on Web Therapy Season 4 are connected through the tenuous strings of sitcom guest stars, minor movie roles, and parts granted to friends (and friends of Friends as favors).
