Lupita Nyong'o Returns to the Red Carpet in Style

by Rosie Narasaki

Oh, Lupita — how we've missed you so! I don't know if you noticed the recent Lupita Nyong'o drought, but we haven't seen any really great red carpet moments since June (she was last spotted wearing an absolutely adorable, appropriately summer-y Fausto Puglisi palm tree mini dress). Can you believe we haven't seen her in almost four months? It's a terrible thing, to be so (soooo) deprived of the world's newest fashion darling.

Luckily for us, she's decided to come back to the fashion world, with a one-two punch of that glamorous, ladylike chic that we've come to associate her with: On Saturday, she stepped out for the Sindika Dokolo Art Foundation dinner in an absolutely adorable shiny and ruffle-y Fitriani LBD (complete with a tiny boxy handbag that Minnie Mouse herself would love to get her gloved paws on), and on Tuesday, she wore the most gloriously autumnal look of the entire season (seriously, girl's got serious fall game): The outfit starred a luxuriously-toned oxblood calf-length coat, and a pale pink midi circle skirt paired with a statement belt and a mustard yellow crop top were the admirable supporting players.

I mean, come on: Ms. Lupita is unstoppable — I can't wait to see her tear up the red carpet when it's time for the new Star Wars to hit its press tour.

In Fitriani

Pitch-perfect, right?

In Bally

So AUTUMNAL (and gorgeous).
