You'll Barely Recognize Her on 'Teen Vogue'

The star known for her signature blood red lips, platinum blonde hair, and mega lashes just mixed up her look. Rita Ora nabbed two Teen Vogue covers, and she rocks the "no makeup" makeup look on both. Ora has unique pop star style but she is better known stateside for her fashion endeavors and her features on other people's songs than she is for her own music. That could all change soon. Ora, who guested during Iggy Azalea's SNL performance this weekend, looks totally different on her Teen Vogue November covers, which hit stands on October 27.

Ora swaps out her usual scarlet pout for a soft, pale pink pucker and her usually blown straight blonde locks look fresh out of the shower. They are sorta curly and crunchy — not quite '90s Justin Timberlake style, but almost. She also dons a collegiate-inspired ensemble, with a varsity jacket cool enough to make Drake jealous.

It's daring for Ora, who is pretty stunning, to ditch her hallmarks and go out of her comfort zone for this major cover.

The first cover is great, but the second one is even better. Look at that smoldering stare!

It's refreshing that she didn't cling to her old standbys and since Teen Vogue's readership is younger, the Old Hollywood, glammer-than-glam screen siren look that Ora is known for might not translate to that demo. Here, her style looks easy to emulate at home.

Ora is not the only celeb to go the "no makeup" makeup look for a recent mag cover. These five A-listers also went the natural route, even if they aren't completely product free.

1. Jessica Simpson

In May 2006, Simpson, who is known for sporting loads of gloss and bronzer, went au naturel for Marie Claire.

2. Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga appeared on a 2011 Harper's Bazaar cover all barefaced and beautiful. Since Ma Monster's signature is her wild, outrageous, and impractical sense of style, this was a jarring image in the best kind of way.

3. Nicki Minaj

The rap vixen ditched her wigs, impossibly long lashes, and electric pink makeup for a streamlined and stripped down ELLE cover in April 2013. She didn't go totally demure — um, hello sideboob — but she did show us her natural beauty.

4. Rachel McAdams

The former lady love of Ryan Gosling was so fresh-faced on her August 2014 Allure cover. Talk about girl next door — if you live in Canada, of course.

5. Kerry Washington

The Scandal star's November 2014 Allure cover is evidence that she can throw all of her products in the trash now. She does not need 'em. Allure has been allowing its cover girls to strip down facially and I totally love it. It makes me proud to be a subscriber.
