'Marry Me' Gets 5 More Episodes

by Caitlyn Callegari

Oh hey, Marry Me fans? Wanna hear something cool? You and your fave new show are about to become a lot more intimately acquainted. Because it's inviting itself into your living room television for five more episodes that initially anticipated. So like, be a hospitable host and stack up on some extra snacks and stuff for Casey Wilson and Ken Marino. Maybe some champage, too because it's quite an accomplishment for the show, being brand spankin' new. It's doing so well that not only did NBC not cancel it, they upped the episode count to 18.

According to Variety:

"'Marry Me' is averaging a 2.0 rating/6 share in adults 18-49 and 6.5 million viewers overall through the season’s first six weeks, making it the #2 new broadcast comedy in 18-49 so far this season behind ABC’s 'Black-ish.' Of NBC’s four comedies this fall (two on Tuesday and two on Thursday), 'Marry Me” is faring the best.'"

I mean, to put it mildly...they're killing it. It's a relief to see a deserving show get it's due recognition, isn't it? Hopefully this means that NBC will put a ring on it and it'll be renewed for a second season. But I guess we should just rejoice in this good news first.
