The 6 Best Songs Out of Fashion Week So Far

by Alyssa Shapiro

If the creations worn down the runway by models aren't doing it for you, you still have to hand it to the designers; they know all about the cool new music. Some of it just came out, some of it isn't quite out yet, and some of it has been thankfully rediscovered for our listening pleasure.

Here are some of the top picks from the shows so far:

Richard Chai: There was a great playlist going at the Richard Chai show, and it had us moving in our seats at the show. Dancing Anymore by Is Tropical and Million Dollar Bills by newcomer Lorde are definitely worth their 99 cents each.

Cushnie et Ochs: Copy Cat by Skream was the perfect background sound to listen to while watching the models wear some of the sexiest clothes this side of lingerie. Copy Cat features Kelis, who we've missed dearly since the Bossy days.

Prabal Gurung: In the way that a fashion show is a show, Prabal Gurung nailed it. While guests were filtering in to their seats, Alberto Iglesias' piano played La Pared Transparente , composed for the Almodovar film The Skin I Live In. Jamming-out music it is not, but it's still worth a listen. Also great for setting a suspenseful and slightly creepy mood, if you're into it.

Alexander Wang: Amid the mash up of music at Alexander Wang, I See I Say by Ebony Bones emerged. As Erin Wasson and other models proved, it's good music to walk to.

Victoria Beckham: As a Spice Girl turned WAG turned designer, can we just say how we love Victoria Beckham? Given her musical background, it's no wonder her show playlist featured some good tunes, like the dreamy 6 Underground by Sneaker Pimps.

Happy listening!
