Relive 'RHOA' Season 6's Most Amazing Moments

by Kayla Hawkins

Most of the Housewives series tend to be disconnected and repetitive, so there's no reason to catch up before a new season starts. But The Real Housewives of Atlanta is a different breed. You'll want to read a recap of RHOA Season 6 before jumping into Season 7. After all, Season 6 wasn't just all arguing about a birthday party and who did or didn't come. And it definitely didn't get stuck going back and forth in the same argument or the same rumor over and over and over again.

There were also a good deal of supporting players that mostly acted as pawns this year, from NeNe's friend Mynique annoying Phaedra every few minutes on the Savannah trip to Natalie, the girl who nearly got Kandi to flip a table. Somehow, every season, each Housewife starts a new business venture and gets a new product to shill for. These ladies are all big businesswomen in Atlanta. Kandi is a legitimate musical superstar, not a rich dilettante. Cynthia's modeling studio may be a bit of a joke, but she is very successful and a great model in her own right.

Seriously, read on to catch up on one of the greatest reality TV seasons.

Cynthia Bailey

Cynthia recovered from her fibroid health scare, argued with Peter about him stealing her money from their joint account to make big purchases, and lost NeNe as a friend after she and Peter clashed. Although Cynthia has stood by her husband, she seems pretty miserable about it. Expect her to be going a little stir crazy next season after hanging out with Peter.

NeNe Leakes

NeNe was over it in Season 6. She was convinced that she'd be permanently moving to LA, starring on sitcoms and on Dancing with the Stars. But her utter disengagement with the show started to turn into loathing when Kenya started killing her with kindness, throwing a gala charity event where NeNe was the guest of honor — without telling her about it. Peter started a fight with NeNe after the event, leading NeNe to call him "Patricia," and yell at him for being a bitch.

Phaedra Parks

Phaedra spent most of the year taking care of her infant son and studying for her mortuary exams. Along the way, she didn't have time for another workout video, but she always made time for being shady to Kenya and for being furious at Apollo for continuing to hang out and text with Kenya.

Kandi Burress

Kandi dealt with wedding plans (for more of this, see her spinoff The Real Housewives of Atlanta: Kandi's Wedding) with her fiancé, Todd. But every time she went to try on a wedding dress or plan out her prenup, her mother, crazy old Mama Joyce, was prepared to throw her shoe or threaten Todd's safety in order to prevent anything from getting done. Kandi also debuted her new musical, based on her experiences with Todd and Mama Joyce, which sold out and got Tyler Perry's stamp of approval.

Porsha Williams

Porsha co-starred in Kandi's musical, tried dating, and came up with catchphrase after catchphrase. From "bye, Ashy!" to believing the Underground Railroad was a literal railroad, Porsha spoke without a filter and gave us plenty of gold.

Kenya Moore

Kenya antagonized everyone about everything almost constantly. She pretended to be a ghost while they were staying in the haunted mansion, talked to Apollo on their trip even though Phaedra asked them not to, and friend-swiped Marlo away from NeNe. Kenya's job is to make as much chaos as possible for the other ladies, and let's hope she's just as inspired in Season 7 as she was in Season 6.
