Khloe's Getting Cryptic on Instagram

by Marenah Dobin

Khloe Kardashian is my favorite Kardashian. It made me so happy when she was able to find love and her own spinoff series with Lamar Odom. She was happy and it was nice to see. But then things started getting weird and the, seemingly, inevitable happened when she announced that she was filing for divorce. As a Kardashian fan this definitely saddened me, and I felt a similar ping of emotion when I was scrolling through my Instagram feed and saw that Khloe Kardashian posted a quote that may be about Lamar Odom. The reality star has not commented on who or what the quote is about, but I find it to be quite the coincidence that she posted it on Odom's birthday. Additionally, the quote is about closure and that is something Khloe has been seeking for a very long time.

Rumor has it that she has only been able to talk with her estranged husband on a sporadic basis which has made it very difficult to finalize the divorce and truly move on to a better situation. The quote reads, "Like time suspended, a wound unmended — you and I. We had no ending, no said goodbye. For all my life, I'll wonder why." It can be inferred that the "time suspended" references how much time Kardashian has spent in this marriage with no resolve. Apparently she has a lot of trouble getting in touch with Odom and that would make sense for the "no goodbye" part. And the "I'll wonder why" at the end is just very sad as it seems like Khloe never feels she'll have complete closure.

This is not the first time Khloe has posted a quote on Instagram and it's not the first time that she has done so at a pivotal point in her life.

When Lamar Went to Rehab

Lamar Odom went into rehab during September 2013. Six days later, Kardashian posted a quote about trying to save yourself and not expecting the people you love to stand by while you destroy you own life. This could easily be a message about her husband, hoping that they'll work things out because she was not sure how much longer she could stick around.

When the Lamar Cheating Video Surfaced

On Nov. 22, 2013, a terrible video surfaced of a seemingly not sober Odom rapping about drugs and the NBA. The worst part of the video is when he mentioned cheating on Khloe and, I imagine, that was the final straw for their relationship. A few days later, Khloe posted a quote about learning how to love someone through their faults and rising up after heartbreak to love again.

When She Filed For Divorce

Khloe posted the quote above on Dec. 12, 2013 and it had many people wondering if she was done with this marriage drama for good. Was she done fighting for her husband? The speculation seemed to be true when Kardashian filed for divorce the very next day. It definitely makes you think. Sometimes a quote is just a quote and other times it truly resonates with a person's life.

I have their theory that we all post online to get something back. Whether it's a "like" or a comment or even just a way to start a conversation. I believe that there is a need to elicit a response with every post and sometimes that response can be reading a message and adapting to it. I just hope that Lamar Odom saw Khloe Kardashian's latest message and is ready to give her the closure that she very much deserves.
