Expect Nakedness & Ginger Jokes Next on 'SNL'

by Alyse Whitney

No matter what type of movies and actors you like, Saturday Night Live 's Season 40 hosts in December will please you. SNL just announced the last hosts and musical guests of 2014, and they include two first-timers and four veterans of Studio 8H.

First up is James Franco on Dec. 6, who brings the laughs (and probably some nudity) for the third time. He's joined by Nicki Minaj, who stages her second performance. Next will be Martin Freeman — Emmy winner for Sherlock and star of The Hobbit trilogy — who hosts for the first time. He'll be joined by Charli XCX, who is also making her debut on the Dec. 13 episode. And last, but certainly not least, Amy Adams will ring in the holidays early with SNL's last episode of 2014 on Dec. 20. She'll be joined by One Direction, who will take the stage for the third time.

Although I'm excited for all of these hosts, Adams may be my favorite of the three. Last time she came to SNL, she did intricate choreographed dances with Amy Poehler, Kristen Wiig, and Casey Wilson to songs like "Umbrella" and "It's the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine)," so she may not be able to top that performance — unless she sings and dances.
