11 Tweets That Show You're Just Like Luke Hemmings

by Marenah Dobin

Every time I read those stories about stars being "just like us," I cannot take them seriously. Stars are not just like us. They are celebrities. No matter what they say, eat, read, or wear, we will never fully understand them. And they will never be just like us. However, it is true that stars do a lot of the same things we do and 5 Seconds of Summer's Luke Hemmings is no exception. Hemmings's tweets show that at some point you and he have had something in common — even if it was only for an instant.

Sure, he's an 18-year-old Australian who is famous for being a guitarist and singer, but you do have similar habits. He may be totally inaccessible to you in real life, but through social media Luke Hemmings has showed that if you ever get a chance to meet him in person, you would definitely be able to hang. Aside from sleeping on a tour bus and being in stadiums full of fans, your experience would be pretty normal. Are you picking up what I'm laying down? Probably not, but I'll prove it to you. There are plenty of times that you and Hemmings were doing the same thing. Just check out his tweets.

Indulging in Some Late Night Snacks

We have all been there. Even when you make it through a whole day with healthy eating, sometimes you cannot help but reach for the junk food in the middle of the night.

Complaining About Being Tired

Social media has turned into a contest where people brag about who is the most tired and who has the busiest schedule. We are all guilty of posting about how little we slept and how fatigued we feel.

Fanning Out over 5SOS

Just because Hemmings is a member of the band that doesn't mean he can't be a fan. He even downloads his own music.

Eating a Healthy Snack

We all try to make up for those Cheetos with some healthier food choices.

Trolling Friends

Hemmings poked fun at bandmate Calum Hood's questionable fashion choices in this tweet. This is something we've all done, just not with millions of followers or anything close to that.

Fishing for Compliments

There are times when we just want attention. Not for any specific achievement, but just for the sake of being recognized.

Lounging Around with Netflix

It may not sound like much, but some pretty amazing days consist of just laying around and watching movies.

Playing Video Games

This is one thing I personally can't relate to, but I know there are a lot of gamers who devote countless hours to Xbox.

Doing Nothing

The most relaxing thing to do is nothing. Even Luke Hemmings takes a break from his life to have a relaxing Sunday.

Watching TV

That's the most likely place to find me. I am right there with him on this one.

Feeling Jet Lagged

Sure, we are not traveling the world as often as the 5SOS crew, but plenty of us have experienced jet lag after a trip.

There you have it. Luke Hemmings will never be just like us. He is a famous musician, after all. But there will always be times when he is totally relatable, doing the same things we all do.
