See Rob Lowe As the Doomed President

It looks like National Geographic's much-anticipated Killing Kennedy television movie is finally moving forward after being announced in February of this year. We've known who would be portraying the doomed first family for a while now — Rob Lowe scored the part of John F. Kennedy back in May, Ginnifer Goodwin was cast as the legendary Jackie Kennedy soon after, Will Rothhaar portrays JFK's killer, Lee Harvey Oswald, and Michelle Tratchtenberg nabbed the part of Oswald's wife, Marina.

Since it was announced, we've only seen pictures from the sure-to-be successful TV movie — until now. Today, on what would have been JFK and Jackie Kennedy's wedding anniversary, National Geographic has released the first sneak peek at the film with a minute-long trailer that is as haunting as it is beautiful.

It doesn't feature much from the film: Just a few shots of the cast artistically cropped set to a voiceover from Rob Lowe doing his best JFK impersonation, but it's still worth a watch. The film is based on the book of the same name by Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard.

Killing Kennedy was directed by The West Wing's Nelson McCormick, and will premiere on Nat Geo on Nov. 10. You can check out the first sneak peek below.
