How to Jingle & Jangle This Holiday Season

The holiday season wouldn't be the joyous occasion we all know and love without Santa Claus, his elves, and that sleigh with eight tiny reindeer soaring through the sky delivering gifts all over the world to good little girls and boys. The same goes for watching the 1974 classic The Year Without a Santa Claus . Can you imagine celebrating the spirited season without this claymation story featuring legend Mickey Rooney as Santa Claus, Shirley Booth aka "Hazel" as Mrs. Claus, those hot and cold brothers who are just "too much," and two of Santa's most trustworthy, yet dimwitted, elves? Yeah, I didn't think so. This movie is a tradition for so many that we want to ensure fans don't miss it this year.

I don't know about you, but even if you have your own personal copy of the family-friendly story, there's something about watching a beloved Christmas movie on the small screen that makes the holidays that much better. Whether you're spreading cheer with Elf , playing cops and robbers with Home Alone , or being naughty or nice with The Santa Clause , there's no right or wrong way to watch Christmas movies. With that said, here are a few ways you can watch The Year Without a Santa Claus this year!

First, foremost, and most obviously, you can watch it during ABC Family's 25 Days of Christmas holiday movie event. This network is never a letdown when it comes to all holiday movies. Thank you, ABC Family for letting fans bask in the greatness that is this movie, even if it does feature a ridiculous doctor who shouldn't be giving Santa Claus advice on his holiday! Of course people still care about and believe in Christmas, in addition to the magical man capable of making people of all ages believe in miracles and the spirit of the holiday season.

If you're one of those people, here's ABC Family's line-up, where can you enjoy the movie not once, but 10 times:

Thursday, Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. (ET)Friday, Dec. 5 at 5 p.m. (ET)

Sunday, Dec. 7 at 11 p.m. (ET)

Monday, Dec. 8 at 5 p.m. (ET)

Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 6 p.m. (ET)

Monday, Dec. 15 at 8 p.m. (ET)

Wednesday, Dec. 17 at 4:30 p.m. (ET)

Saturday, Dec. 20 at 11 a.m. (ET)

Sunday, Dec. 21 at 4 p.m. (ET)

Thursday, Dec. 25 at 3 p.m. (ET)

Sadly, it seems ABC Family is the only network carrying the movie featuring Snow and Heat Mister. Side note: anyone else think Heat Miser resembles a scary clown? Maybe he could get a guest-starring gig on American Horror Story. Moving on, it also doesn't look like Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime (you can purchase it via Amazon Instant Video for $9.99) are streaming the movie. Seriously, they need to hop on the Christmas movie bandwagon, stat.

However, it does look like the Internet is our friend when it comes to watching Jingle and Jangle ride reindeer (or according to Southtown, a dog!) Vixen. The full version of The Year Without a Santa Claus is available on YouTube. Lastly, you can always buy it on DVD for yourself, or a friend, because it would make a perfect gift, right?

Just think, you only have to wait 11 days until you can watch it on TV. Talk about a great early Christmas present!
