Of all the networks, Bravo should be the one place that former Real Housewives of New York star Bethenny Frankel should be able to pull in an audience — after all, it's the network that launched her career and made her into the cold, emotionally unavailable woman who makes SURPRISINGLY DELICIOUS low-cal cocktail drinks she is today. Sadly (for her), though, this may not be the case: According to Naughty But Nice Rob, Bethenny appeared on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live earlier this week in an effort to promote her new talk show, and the ratings were so bad, the episode didn't even make the cable top 100. In other words, it tanked.
That, coupled with the fact that her talk show premiered to ratings lower than the amount of calories in her Skinnygirl Mojito cocktail — then continued to drop when the second episode aired — doesn't bode well for the businesswoman. Her face is her brand, and if people are getting sick of seeing her, well...she does have the Skinnygirl line to fall back on, but she won't be getting another reality show any time soon.
Then again, to be fair to Bethenny, Watch What Happens Live hasn't made cable's top 100 at all this week, so maybe that's why. Either way, the world doesn't need a Bethenny talk show, or a Bethenny reality show appearance — we'd be fine without those things. But, a world without delicious, low-cal, ready-to-serve cocktail drinks? That's one I don't want to live in.
