Justin Bieber Wants You to Wait For a Minute'

If you hear thousands upon thousands of teenage girls screaming and shattering the sound barrier today, don't fret: It's only because a tween dream released a new song, not because the world is ending or zombies are attacking or anything like that. This time, it was Tyga, who posted his new collaboration with Justin Bieber, "Wait a Minute," on his YouTube last night. I didn't want to listen to it, but in the interest of journalism, I did. Because I CARE.

So, let's just jump right into it: "Wait a Minute" is nothing revolutionary. Justin Bieber continues to channel the Ying Yang Twins' "Wait (The Whisper Song)" with his whisper-y singing — the name even says "wait" in it — and the lyrics are really just like any other Justin Bieber song out there. Really, just pick one, any one, and I can guarantee you that it won't be much different than this song, with its lyrics like "Slow dance in the moonlight/ I'm just trying to set the mood right," and "Here you are, with me/ And if you take my hand babe/ We can go to a place, you ain't never seen before."

Actually, that last line was LITERALLY FROM ANOTHER JUSTIN BIEBER SONG. He said the same exact thing in "Boyfriend": "I can take you places you ain't never been before." He didn't even try.

Ugh. Whatever. I was on such a high after discovering that screaming goat remix of Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball," and now it's all gone because of Justin Bieber and everything sucks. You can listen to "Wait a Minute" below, if you're into that and stuff. I'm gonna go mope now.
