High Alert on Aniston's Thanksgiving Plans

by Daniela Cabrera

You know what is so interesting about Jennifer Aniston? She is a private, generally non-scandalous celebrity who truly focuses on her work, yet she continues to consistently appear on gossip magazines for the ups and down of her personal life — and the stories are mostly made up, let's be real. That, to me, is true star quality. Although the past few years have been plagued with rumors about her relationship with ex-husband Brad Pitt and his new wife Angelina Jolie, the multiple times she's been "pregnant," and everything in between, Aniston remains unfazed and focused which is a truly admirable quality this day in the celebrity age. In a surprisingly candid conversation, Jennifer Aniston discussed some wedding details on Ellen. And when I say candid, I mean candid in Jennifer Aniston terms which means not saying much at all. She's been notoriously mum on speaking about anything related to an upcoming wedding, which is completely understandable given the extreme scrutiny she's had in her relationships of the past.

This type of attitude also extends to fiancee Justin Theroux, who does not let all of the media hoopla surrounding their impending marriage bother him. "There is this hum of pressure that — I can't stress enough — I don't pay any attention to," he told Australia's TV Weekly . "But I am not going to let a tabloid tell me what to do... I'm not going to watch them tap their watch... We're just doing our own thing. We are completely happy, obviously, but we're not on anyone else's timeframe."

As for Aniston's interview, host Ellen DeGeneres jokes that she knows she will know when the wedding is happening, but because of the secretive nature of the event, no one can ever be quite sure when it's going to happen, so they've always got to be on alert. Aniston reiterates this concern with a funny tidbit about her old friends Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher:

Our friends Sacha and Isla showed up for four little gatherings, about a year ago, in beautiful wedding wear. Even for the Fourth of July last year, Sacha was in a powder blue suit, and Isla was in a little cute dress and we were like, "Guys, it's Fourth of July, we were in cutoffs, eating hot dogs. We will actually let you know!"

During the interview, although DeGeneres and Aniston are good friends, the Cake actress is very short in her responses, and pretty much confirms that beyond this story, we will probably not be getting any more wedding talk out of her (until the actual day is here). She briefly mentions that the inquiries get more intense during the holidays with Thanksgiving this week and Christmas right around the corner. So, I have to wonder, is she secretly giving us some hints? Could this be her way of using reverse psychology to get us to think that she wouldn't possibly have her wedding during such an expected time? We also just learned that BFF and Friends cast mate Courteney Cox is hosting an epic 30 person Thanksgiving dinner, which could quite easily double as a wedding dinner, don't you think?

If all else fails, my best tip is that we keep an eye on Aniston's tight knight group of friends, and if we see Cox pop up somewhere with a bridesmaid-style dress and Cohen and Fisher in "beautiful wedding wear" once more, the time is nigh, y'all. Check out the rest of the interview on EllenTube.
