Freddie Prinze Jr. Recovering From Spinal Surgery

by Emma Goddard

It feels like it’s been awhile since we’ve last heard anything from Freddie Prinze Jr., but, apart from some recent work he did on the animated series Star Wars Rebels, it seems that he's actually had a lot going on behind-the-scenes in his personal life. In fact, in a recent string of social media posts this month, Freddie Prinze Jr. has been sharing his progress as he learns to "walk again" after undergoing spinal surgery on Nov. 20.

Sharing “before” and “after” photos on Twitter, the actor has been all smiles throughout the process, even showing off his post-surgery neck brace with humorous captions to accompany them. From lines like “Spine surgery this morning but now ur [sic] homie is… Robo-Bro!” to “#KeepItPlayful Learnin [sic] to walk again is like learning jiu-jitsu – 1 technique at a time,” Prinze Jr. has a pretty great attitude.

The celebrity has even been working on his “mental training” and has also reached out to fans on Twitter by thanking them for their support during his healing. But don’t freak out, people, our former Scooby Doo and She’s All That heartthrob is healthy and well — and wants you all to know that he's denying any rumors or similar gossip stating otherwise.

“Guys I’m totally fine,” Prinze Jr. wrote on Twitter on Saturday. “Recovering great. No need to get ur [sic] info from entertainment ‘news’ sources who have no clue. Trust your homie.”

So I’m here to reassure all of you — and Freddie — that we’ve got your back when it comes to getting the facts straight. That said, don’t get all worked up, because Prinze Jr. is A-OK. In fact, he’s just been working on nicknames for his new neck scar and getting his post-surgery workout on. I don't know about you, but I think "Robo-Bro" is a very becoming nickname for him.
