These Trends Will Die With the End of 2014

by Erin Mayer

Hard as it is to believe, 2014 is coming to a close. The final month of the year is a great time to reflect on the past eleven months, and to consider what not to take with us into the following year. And it seems 2015 might be a year without printed pants. Thanks to the company Editd, we now know which trends won't make it past the 2014 holiday season. I guess they're called trends for a reason.

According to Racked, Editd is "an apparel data analytics company that tracks retail trends." Their Black Friday 2014 Market Report includes a roundup of styles (complete with handy infographics) who are far past their peak and likely won't be popular after the 2014 holiday shopping season ends. The findings are based on the number of price reductions placed on these items in the past months.

Editd identified six trends that retailers should discount and promote if they want to move them off shelves. This means that it's also a great time to snag some great deals on these styles (although you may want to place them in storage come 2015 to avoid looking so last season). Here are the six pieces to stock and stash before the New Year!
