'AHS: Freak Show' Is In For Another Massacre

I think the most frustrating thing about this season of American Horror Story is that there's never really been one clear villain. Is it Elsa and her greed for fame? Is it Dell and his major rage issues? Or is it Stanley and his 13-inch package ? (I just want to know who to hate, you guys!) And then, of course, there's Dandy Mott. This spoiled man child has been teetering on the edge of villainy greatness ever since Twisty disappeared in a cloud of Edward Mordrake's creepy green smoke. And given the title of Wednesday's AHS: Freak Show episode "Tupperware Party Massacre," it seems safe to assume Mr. Mott will finally come into his evil prime. (I only hope the season itself will follow suit.) So who will be next on Dandy's hit list? Right now, my money's on the death of Pepper's friend, Salty.

I mean, let's look at this thing logically. The title itself quite literally states that some sort of massacre will occur, so clearly a great deal of death will be involved. Then there's the fact that the synopsis for the following week's AHS episode "Orphans" states that "the death of a Freak sparks troubling behavior in Pepper." There's already been a great deal of bloodshed circulating throughout the sideshow and Pepper has remained pretty OK about it. So what would cause this unwarranted behavior if not the death of her closest Freak Show confidant?

From what we've seen so far this season, Salty and Pepper have been practically joined at the hip, which would make his demise particularly hard for poor Pepper to deal with. I guess you could say that the "tupperware" massacre will remain fresh in her mind. (Too soon?) Perhaps this depression is what eventually incorporates Sister Mary Eunice into the plot as well. The loss of her friend could become too great — maybe to the point where the gang enlists the help of a kind nun to assist with the grieving process. (You know, because when I think Briarcliff, I think great patient care.)

But episode descriptions aside, if you just look a little closer at Season 4 as a whole, you'll start to pick up on some noticeable patterns — one being that the last time an episode had the word "massacre" in the title, a fellow "freak" died. Don't forget that sweet, innocent Meep the Geek died in Episode 2 "Massacres and Matinees" after being framed for the murder of a missing detective. This key word could be Ryan Murphy's way of hinting to us that another beloved Freak Show member is about to fall.

Suffice to say, things aren't looking to good for Salty, despite the fact that Christopher Neiman (the actor who plays Salty) is still credited on IMDB even after the "Massacre" episode. Because first of all, IMBD isn't always that reliable when it comes to updating their information, and secondly, the character could always reappear in flashback or ghost-form. (A trick Murphy has played on us in the past.) But either way, Salty won't be in the land of the living much longer, mark my words. And I'm positive it'll be at Dandy's hand. Prepare your blood baths accordingly, people.
