15 Training Tights to Spice Up Your 2015 Workout Routine — Because Exercising Isn't Always Fun, But Patterned Pants Certainly Are

The end of the year is near, and I have to say that this goodbye will be bittersweet. As with most years, 2014 saw its fair share of ups and downs. But isn’t that the best part of starting over? With the dawn of a new year, we have an annual opportunity to hold onto the good, let go of the bad and dive head first into 365 brand spanking new days! I watched This Is Where I Leave You over holiday break, and I think Rose Byrne’s character explained the beauty of a fresh start in epic fashion when she said, “Anything can happen. Anything happens all the time.” Resolutions aside (mainly because I don’t like them), one adventure I plan on having in the new year is a love affair with the gym. I won’t lie to you and say it will be an unconditional love, as fitness and I are likely to continue our love/hate relationship, but I do promise to show up for our regularly scheduled dates. For better of for worse, right?

Not only have I calculated my holiday cut-out cookie intake at somewhere around 392, my commitment to the couch (I have been very loyal) has made me realize how much better I feel when I do get my sweat on throughout the week. So, in an effort to keep my energy level up and the urge to unbutton my jeans down, I will be reconnecting with my barre class as we head into 2015.

Now, as previously discussed, ensuring we are “up in the gym just working on our fitness,” as Fergie would say, is not always as enticing as that Gilmore Girls marathon (thanks Netflix). How ever will we continue to motivate ourselves?! Well, I for one am always most excited about any activity that comes with a costume change; never underestimate the power of a dazzling outfit. This year, printed pants are front and center in the world of fitness fashion, and the motto is quickly becoming the louder the better (my main motto all day, every day). Bright colors, positive messaging and bold patterns make workout gear super fun, which means going to the gym becomes an excuse to rock your new training tights! Is that motivation I hear?

The fairy godmother gave Cinderella a fabulous pair of life-changing shoes. I give you these 15 pairs of look-at-me work out pants that take fitness fashion to the next level. Couldn't we all use a little extra motivation and a boost of confidence as we head to the gym? We have to stick together in the new year, ladies. I'm here for you. You go, girl!
