Kenzo's Pre-Fall Collection Is A Disco...Literally

2015 is a party, and everyone's invited. That is, if you happen to enjoy couture and the work of Parisian design house Kenzo, whose Fall 2015 collection is sheer, disco-inspired madness. Prepare yourself for platforms, wide-leg trousers, and rose-colored glasses, because Studio 54 has nothing on these daring '70s-meets-avant-garde styles.

Founded in 1970 by Kenzo Takada and revived by Opening Ceremony masterminds Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, the label is renowned for the type of free-form fashion that blows staid, bland designs out of the water. Kenzo's Fall 2015 collection is an exercise in whimsy, so prepare to throw on your pink fur-lined dancing shoes this autumn. Set against a backdrop of shimmering fringe, the collection is a storm of clashing prints, bold textures, and bright colors. Think plush pink, furry slippers paired with a jarringly printed black and white smoking suit, and an abstract printed pleated midi skirt worn with sumptuous black fur and sturdy clogs.

If you don't feel like doing a do-si-do just yet, you may be swayed by a mod black and white shift dress in all its elegant simplicity, or an electric orange trench with delicious black stitching. And for those who shy away from Kenzo's electric kool-aid hues, there is the brand's satiny olive-green tuxedo, though pairing the ensemble with matching wellies is optional. Leon and Lim cited a "nomadic tribe" influence for the collection, according to an interview with Women's Wear Daily , and from the looks of it, this is one collective I'd love to join.
