Amy Adams Wears Versace at the Golden Globes

How can anyone dislike Amy Adams? She's sweet, unbelievably talented and a natural blonde that pulls off red hair effortlessly. It's impressive, really. For the past few award seasons, it's been absolutely impossible to miss Adams for a handful of reasons. Not only has she been nominated (and won) again and again for her powerful roles in films like American Hustle and Junebug, the actress has consistently made statements on the red carpet. While her 2014 Golden Globes gown wasn't consistently loved by all (what red carpet gown ever is?), Adams certainly knows how to wear a designer dress and is always a red carpet favorite. She is, once again, in the category for Best Actress (Musical or Comedy) this year at the Globes for her role in Big Eyes. So what did she wear? Versace, of course.

Over the years, Adams has had some jaw-dropping red carpet moments. This makes sense, given she's had some practice — Adams has been nominated for five Oscars since 2005. Anyone remember her 2013 Oscar de la Renta moment for the 2013 Oscars? No? Let me remind me.

Boom.

For me, few gowns could ever compare to the 2013 Oscar moment for Adams, so it's not surprising that her Versace gown for this year's Golden Globes is so... well, meh. Yes, yes. It's pretty. She's stunning. I doubt Adams could be anything less than beautiful on the red carpet no matter what she was wearing. But this year's dress? Well... judge for yourself.
