When Is the 'DWTS' Season 20 Premiere?

by Alyse Whitney

It may seem like an eternity ago that Alfonso Ribero and Witney Carson won DWTS , but it's actually only been a few months since the November finale of Season 19. But how long will we have to wait for more time in the ballroom? The Dancing With the Stars Season 20 premiere date is sooner than you think — it's actually only a few months away. The spring season will kick off on Monday, March 16, presumably sticking to the one-night schedule it mastered last season. However, it may go for two nights for the first few weeks like we saw in Season 19, giving the contestants a breather without a first-week elimination.

With the shake-ups happening on the show, who knows what to expect. Judge Len Goodman is headed into his final season this spring, and Derek Hough is leaving the show to perform at the New York Spring Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall. Pro dancer Cheryl Burke will also be absent, focusing on an upcoming NBC show, and no replacements have been announced for Burke or Hough. Speaking of Houghs, Julianne will be back to judge Season 20, and rumor has it that she will permanently sub for Goodman after he departs the show in the fall. Are you excited to get back in the ballroom? Let the glitzy announcement from DWTS on Twitter pump you up, and let's all hope Maks Chmerkovskiy decides to return this season.
