Shaky-cam movies starring teenagers have had a long moment in the sun. It started with the Blair Witch Project, followed by an ongoing string of Paranormal Activity movies, as well as 2008's Cloverfield, and half a dozen others. There's something undeniably enticing about watching a coming-of-age movie through the lens of the teenagers filming it. And now, in the same vein of the movies that have arrived before it, we have 2015's Project Almanac . The synopsis for Project Almanac is as follows: "As a group of friends discover plans for a time machine, they build it and use it to fix their problems and personal gain. But as the future falls apart with disasters, and each of them disappear little by little, they must travel back to the past to make sure they never invent the machine or face the destruction of humanity."

Starring Jonny Weston (Chasing Mavericks, Taken 3), Sofia Black-D’Elia (Gossip Girl), Sam Lerner (Suburgatory), Allen Evangelista (The Secret Life of the American Teenager), and Virginia Gardner (The Goldbergs), the film is produced by Hollywood staple Michael Bay and directed by Dean Israelite.

Project Almanac hits theaters January 30, but Bustle has some exclusive photos from the film to temper your excitement while you wait. See the pictures and trailer below:
