Ariana Grande Is Heading Back To TV!

If you've been sitting around and wishing Ariana Grande would return to your TV screen, I've got some great news. While days of Sam & Cat are long gone (and likely never returning), Ariana Grande has been cast in a recurring role on Scream Queens along with Glee queen Lea Michele. It's a new series on Fox created by Ryan Murphy. If Murphy's name sounds familiar, it's because he's responsible for other awesome shows — the Michele-starring Glee, as well as American Horror Storyjust to name a few. Not only are Grande and Michele joining the cast, but Fox announced even more exciting names: Joe Manganiello, Abigail Breslin, and Keke Palmer, in addition to the already announced Jamie Lee Curtis and Emma Roberts. So it's basically much a bunch of randomly great people all in one series.

According to E!, the show "revolves around a college campus which is rocked by a series of murders and is set in a sorority house." It's categorized as a "comedy-horror-anthology series" — which is an interesting description. Does that mean it's going to be like American Horror Story meets Scary Movie? Or maybe it's more like How to Get Away With Murder combined with Legally Blonde?

Whatever the show winds up being like, it sounds worth checking out, especially considering Murphy's impressive résumé.

Fox's Gary Newman told E! News:

We trust [Murphy] implicitly and he has proven over the years that he has great instincts for building characters that people care about and fall in love with. He brings an outrageousness to what he does that is his unique signature and Scream Queens, he's literally the perfect person to do this. It's going to be an amazing, suspenseful, fun run.

The network trusts Murphy so much that they already ordered 15 one-hour episodes of the show! It begins production this spring and premieres in the fall. Although it's awhile away, it will hopefully help fill the void left when Glee 's series finale airs in March. It sounds a bit different (OK, really different) from Glee, but at least there's still Lea Michele!
