Did She Start 2015's First Major Brow Trend?

by Rosie Narasaki

Chloe Grace Moretz has always had great eyebrow game (and style game, and beauty game, and talent game... basically, everything game), but the actress just took things to the next level in a major way. Chloe Grace Moretz showed up with eyebrows that perfect matched her dress when she walked the red carpet at the Museum of the Moving Image Gala Salute in support of her Carrie co-star Julianne Moore, who also happened to be the honoree of the day.

That's right, she coordinated her brows with her (gorgeous) bronze lace Valentino frock. Now, just to be clear, it's not that different from her usual look — the matching is so subtle, it almost looks like serendipity. If you take a closer look, though, you can see just how uncannily similar the shades are.

I have to say, it makes a lot sense: It's creates a striking yet low-impact vibe when both the eyebrow and outfit colors are on the natural side of the spectrum, but the concept could also work in a whimsically kooky way with less natural shades (I'm thinking Princess Bubblegum-style pink brows could be a lot of fun!).

Could you see this look taking off? Heck, it is the age of the eyebrow: Cara Delevingne power brows are currently reigning supreme, while the Korean trend of super straight eyebrows is also gaining lots of traction (I'm particularly a fan of that look — thought I'm too chicken to shave the tops of my eyebrows off). Maybe we'll all be matching our brows to our ensembles in 2015.

What do you say? Will you give coordinated eyebrows and outfits a try?
