8 Normcore Things Cara D Made Cool Again

When a supermodel devotes herself to promoting a burgeoning trend, you can bet said fad will be covering the pages of Vogue within the month and trending on Twitter in 24 hours. Such is likely to be the case with Cara Delevingne for Tag Heuer (as in the watch brand) — after all, she does have an obsession with normcore fashions. From simple sneakers to cartoon-embellished tops, Delevingne champions down-to-earth accents as much as she does couture. A Delevingne street style sighting simply wouldn't be complete without the model's omnipresent beanies or bleached jeans, and the distressed look which has overtaken fashion blogs is a Delevingne signature as well.

Amongst the brands clamoring for Delevingne's creative support is Tag Heuer. The watch manufacturer recently tapped the top model to pose for the company's new ad campaign with the tagline #Don'tCrackUnderPressure, and though the legendary timepiece manufacturer couldn't be called normcore, Delevingne's involvement will lend the brand a more youthful feel which is currently lacking in Heuer's reputation. Based upon the model's resume of revamped brands like Mulberry and Burberry, it seems that the Tag Heuer brand may very well be a necessary accessory for 2015. 1. The Laid-Back Knit Beanie

After the grunge movement came and went in the '90s, beanies remained a necessity for those residing in cold climates... and forbidden fruit for anyone else. Enter Cara Delevingne and her array of printed, patterned, rainbow-embellished beanies, who breathed new life into the normcore staple.

2. The Old School White Sneaker

The old school sneaker trend didn't simply stride onto the couture stage out of thin air. Gone are the days when adding a sporty white sneaker to a suit was considered a fashion faux pas worthy of banishment.
