Marion Cotillard's Mary Katrantzou Double Shot

by Rosie Narasaki

Marion Cotillard is a spokeswoman for Dior, so she tends to stick to them for all of her red carpet needs. Which is, for the most part, great — she's got the style chutzpah to majorly pull off their riskier pieces (most of the time, anyway — I'm not completely sold on this kooky Spring Couture number she wore to the Academy Awards Nominee luncheon), and she wears their more classic designs with equal aplomb (for example, that voluminous ball gown she sported at the Critics Choice Movie Awards was pretty darn awesome). That said, she sometimes diverges from Dior, and this time Cotillard chose to do it with not one, but two, (Nigel Thornberry voice) smashing Mary Katrantzou ensembles.

She's currently making the rounds to promote her Oscar-nominated role for Two Days, One Night, so it makes sense that we've suddenly been bombarded with a wealth of Cotillard fabulousness — the two colorful and playfully-printed Katrantzou numbers are like a nice little pre-Academy Awards aperitif for what's sure to be a real awards night showstopper (forget her considerable acting chops, give the lady an Oscar for serious style know-how).

Anyway, she started off the day with a sartorial win in a vibrant take on houndstooth...

... And followed it up with an adorable lacy romper (and some seriously epic cobalt pumps):

Only one more month until we get to see her Oscars dress!
