Finally, Some Good 'Glee' News

Season 5 of Glee might be one cloaked in sadness — having premiered just two months after Cory Monteith's passing — but there is some happiness in store for at least one of its stars. Naya Rivera, otherwise known as the actress who plays Santana Lopez, is engaged to rapper boyfriend Big Sean.

According to Us Weekly, Rivera's publicist confirmed the news, and the actress did so herself at Latina Magazine's Hollywood Hot List Party in L.A. — at the event, Rivera sported a new engagement ring on her finger.

Rivera's engagement, though worthy of celebration, still might disappoint some of the most fervent Glee fans — previously, the actress dated co-star Mark Salling, who plays Puck on the hit FOX series. (Sorry 'shippers!) And, unfortunately, the celebration surrounding Rivera's upcoming nuptials will no doubt be short-lived. After all, next Thursday marks Glee's tribute episode for Monteith, who died in July following an overdose of heroin and alcohol. Based on the recently released promos for the episode, and other details made public about the episode, we're in store for plenty of tears. In the meantime, however, Glee fans can shed tears of joy for Rivera and Big Sean.
