A Kardashian Wants Out of 'Keeping Up'

by Lindsay Mannering

It's hard not to feel sorry for the youngest Kardashian, but he tries his best to make it seem like he's doing just fine and doesn't want our sympathy, thank you very much. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Rob Kardashian says he's over Keeping Up With the Kardashians, and would rather spend his time focusing on what matters most to him: socks.

Breaks your heart into a million little pieces, doesn't it? And not because Rob might be leaving the show. It's because: socks.

Anyone who's seen Keeping Up has witnessed Rob, 26, try and get his sock line Arthur George off the ground. When he's not being tormented by sisters about his weight, or when he's not playing video games with Lamar Odom, or when he's not bumming around the mansion with his teenaged half-sisters, or when he's not getting drunk with Scott Disick, or when he's not "working out" with a trainer, or when he's not getting in Twitter wars with ex-girlfriends, or when he's not getting a new tattoo, or when he's not doing super important stuff like laundry, he's apparently been busy designing socks. Socks.

When the WSJ asked him what exactly it is he does, Rob illuminated:

Literally, my job is I make socks. That's all I do. I don't necessarily care about the show. I would rather film this — me doing what I do — than being around my family.

Would we say that's all you do, Rob? I mean, that seems like kind of a stretch. Also (and we can blame this one on producer Ryan Seacrest, if we want), on Keeping Up, it doesn't seem like Rob takes his sock line all that seriously. Remember when he showed up to a business meeting for Arthur George wearing sweatpants? Disick, and the world, were appalled.

I have no idea if Arthur George is going to take off and rake in millions, but Rob seems pretty confident that he's filling a niche for luxury fabrics you nestle your disgusting feet in, so at least he believes in himself, even if no one else really does.

Also, is anyone else afraid that Rob's quote makes it sound like he's angling for a Rob & Socks Take L.A. reality spinoff? He'd rather be filmed hanging with his socks than with his family... E! wouldn't do that to us, would they?

Because if any of the Kardashian men deserve a fashion spinoff, pretty sure it's not Rob.
