Natalie's Pastel Dior Gown Had An Unexpected Twist

by Alexa Tucker

I am officially convinced that the tea-length dress was made for Natalie Portman. Although the actress stuns in just about anything she puts on, the pale pink Dior gown she wore to the premiere of As We Dream at the Berlin International Film Festival was especially breathtaking. Her romantic and feminine choice had a fun geometric twist, which kept the look from feeling blah. Nice work, Natalie.

The bodice of the pastel dress featured a sequined purple and gold triangle cutout, which gave it a cool, stylish, and, dare I say, slightly Bohemian feel. She tied the look together with strappy gold heeled sandals and her signature simple, fresh makeup.

Although she always looks incredible, something about a dress that stops just above her ankles brings out the best in Natalie Portman, style-wise. Maybe it's her petite frame or her elegant updos — Who knows. Natalie always manages to look girly and grown-up at the same time, and a tea-length gown adds to that "feminine mystique."

Another possibility? Maybe Dior and Natalie Portman are just a match made in style heaven. Whatever the reason, I think this dress can safely be added to the actress's best moments wearing the designer.

And here's a closer look at the embellished bodice:

In a word, lovely.
