5 Things You Didn't Know About 'The Voice' Winner

by Kaitlin Reilly

On Tuesday night, country singer Danielle Bradbery was crowned the winner of Season 4 of NBC's The Voice. Here's hoping that the 16-year-old Team Blake member — who performed Taylor Swift's "Mean" during her blind audition to three turned chairs — will be dropping a hit record in the near future (unlike, say, all of the other winners of The Voice, who have seemingly gone into hiding after the show).

But before she bursts onto the music scene, here are five facts you need to know about Bradbery:

She's hadn't sang in public (or taken a vocal lesson) until The Voice.

It takes a brave person to go from singing in the shower to singing in front of millions of viewers. It makes us wonder what other talents this girl has hidden away. (Chess? Basketball? The sky is the limit.)

She's lost friends from being on The Voice.

Sad fact, but Bradbery's dad stated that she lost a few friends when she was cast in the competition due to jealousy. We're thinking that her blind audition number (Taylor Swift's "Mean") has way more relevance now. Forget the haters, Danielle.

She's the third member of Team Blake to win.

Let's just call it the Blake Shelton touch. Shelton coached Season 2 winner Jermaine Paul and Season 3 winner Cassadee Pope. Shelton has said that it has always been his dream to coach a future country singer... and it looks like he got his chance with Bradbery.

She's from Cypress, Texas.

If Blake Shelton has his way, Danielle will be heading to Nashville... but the country singer has her roots in Texas.

She's the youngest person ever to win The Voice.

Born July 23, 1996, Danielle is just shy of her 17th birthday. Suddenly, every high school senior feels very unaccomplished.
