Amal & George Clooney Have A Special Room At Home

by Arielle Dachille

Some married couples use the spare room in their house for storing underused exercise equipment. Others turn it into an adult play room. In a departure from what most normals do, reportedly, Amal and George Clooney are installing a panic room in their own humble abode. From the sound of it, this space will transform their 17th century manor home into an impenetrable fortress of disaster preparedness.

A handy-dandy source revealed to Us Weekly that the couple has commissioned the building of a panic room in their British countryside mansion that will be "fireproof, bombproof, and attack-resistant." In addition, I'm guessing that the space will be built to withstand 13th century Mongolian invasions, hostile robot takeover, dragons, nuclear holocaust, and the zombie apocalypse. I mean, you might as well get your money's worth, amirite?!?!

While you may be thinking that this panic room has everything to do with the Cloonz being one of the biggest stars ever, it supposedly has to do with protecting Amal's legal files. "Amal has high-profile clients in controversial cases," the source said, "She needs to be secure." So even if the hostile troops storm their castle, her affidavits will be fine, guys. No meddling pranksters will be able to find those precious files.

In addition, George and Amal will have the option of re-enacting some of the classic scenes from Panic Room in their own panic room. I mean, META, right?!

In any case, I know where I'm going for armageddon: George and Amal's house. I'll even bring along some non-perishables and a transistor radio, so that we can all eat dinner and listen to NPR while the world crumbles around us.
