Allison Williams Won the Michael Kors Front Row

by Rosie Narasaki

I can't say I know Allison Williams personally, but there's no denying the fact that her personal style is basically Marnie Michaels encapsulated in clothes form. That's a statement that could definitely be interpreted as a negative assessment of her fashion sense, given all of the Marnie haters out there in the world, but I actually mean it as a compliment — there's just something so prim, proper, and just plain put together (and, okay, a little uptight) about her style. Maybe it's just the idea that you know if Marnie's music career ever ended up taking off (har-har), she'd be dressing just like her off-screen counterpart, primarily in simple silhouettes in effective, yet non-risky prints and colors. All that rambling's just to say, Allison Williams brought her awesome-est, Marnie-est style game to the Michael Kors runway presentation at New York Fashion Week — she completely crushed it.

She wore an impeccably tailored crop top paired with a matching full, tea length skirt, both in an absolutely gorgeous navy blue with oversized yellow flowers embroidered on, and she topped the look off with sleek, slicked back hair (perhaps literally without a hair out of place), along with a fresh-faced, clean makeup look, which featured some mega lashes.

Now, that's a style victory.
